ANM Group, the leading farming co-operative based at Thainstone, is joining co-ops across the country to highlight the benefits of the business model during co-operative fortnight.
The annual campaign celebrates co-operatives as an altogether different way to do business with a focus on the role members play in building resilient and representative businesses.
ANM Group is renowned for its relentless focus on delivering for its members via its members’ benefits programme. The Group posted a trading surplus of £787,000 for 2023, making possible £197,000 interest on share capital paid to members.
In 2023, ANM Group’s unrivalled members benefits package delivered savings of £753,000 in reduced livestock commission rates based on their average commission rate of 3.36%, compared to the industry average of 4%. The last trading year also saw a 14% uplift in members investment which offers premium returns of up to 5% for its members.
Grant Rogerson, Chief Executive of ANM Group said:
“Investing in a traditional co-operative model pays dividends not only to us as a business but to our shareholders, and the more who join, the more we can give back to our members and share in our success.
“At ANM our members are the heart of the business, and their interests come first. As a business we will always strive to reward loyalty, and year on year we have enhanced our members benefits packages, allowing us to share our success across our co-operative.
“Year on year more members are investing in our co-operative, and it is this shared success and the desire to secure a prosperous future for the agricultural industry that makes us stronger. We look forward to celebrating throughout co-op fortnight.”
Co-op Fortnight runs from 24th June to 7th July and is an annual opportunity to celebrate co-operatives and everything they do.
