Farm Profit Programme “Making Livestock Pay” – Launch and Information Evening

20/05/2016

Farmers and stakeholders are invited to join us for a launch and information evening on Monday 30th of May at Thainstone. It will be our first open meeting to inform our members, customers and stakeholders about the Farm Profit Programme “Making Livestock Pay”.

Working with our members in 2014 we learned that there is an appetite for a new approach to how our co-op can help their business. At a time when changes to the CAP are impacting significantly on business across the country, all help is needed. This is why we took a long hard look at how we can deliver for our members.

This work took us to Ireland to examine the Better Farm Programme. A programme led by the Farmers Journal and Teagasc which delivers an intensive technical support to programme livestock farmers. The challenges met and the rewards received for taking on this technical support is published by the Farmers Journal on a weekly basis. This makes the information available to all farmers who replicate what is happening on the programme farms.

ANM Group and the Farmers Journal with the support of Scottish Government are delighted to announce the Farm Profit Programme. This will deliver for ANM members and all livestock farmers across the North and North East of Scotland. The objective is to improve the technical performance and profitability of livestock farmers in the region through dissemination of best practice, with the vision to lead a livestock revival, to be a source of technical information and innovation and to help livestock producers grow and prosper.

Join us on Monday 30th May 2016 in Ring 2 at 7.00pm, Thainstone Centre, Inverurie to learn more.
