Exciting opportunities with the ANM Group

Yard Staff (part-time)

Aberdeen & Northern Marts – one of Scotland’s largest and most progressive livestock auction businesses –  is recruiting part-time yard staff to join its team at Thainstone Centre, Inverurie.

The role involves supporting the auction team in livestock droving, handling and sorting of animals from pens to sale rings, and marking following the sale. The working hours would be primarily on regular sale days – Thursday and Friday. The ideal candidate will be passionate about agriculture, enjoy working outdoors in a varied role, lead an active lifestyle and possess relevant knowledge and skills.

Knowledge and skills:

  • experience of working with livestock
  • knowledge of animal welfare
  • awareness of health and safety
  • ability to work as part of a team

General Assistants required (Sunday hours only)

Thainstone Events is looking to recruit General Assistants to work on a Sunday within their mobile burger vans units.

The role will include serving customers, cooking, cash handling and general cleaning. We are looking for a versatile person who works well in a team and understands the importance of delivering excellent service. Prior experience is not essential as training will be given.

Part-time Accounts Assistant

We’re looking for a part-time Accounts Assistant to join our Thainstone Events team.

Thainstone Events is a multi-skilled catering and event management company based at Thainstone Centre, Inverurie and part of ANM Group – one of Scotland’s largest and most progressive farming, food and finance businesses in the UK.

The role will involve maintaining sales and purchase ledgers, bank reconciliation, recording of daily takings, dealing with customer orders and enquiries and other general administration duties as required. Working 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with additional hours required to cover holidays and the festive period.

Knowledge and skills:
• previous accounts receivable/payable experience
• good communications skills
• experience in SAGE Line 50
• knowledge of Excel
• good attention to detail and accuracy
• organised and self-motivated
